I don't like the sidebar. It overlaps in my control panel. I was also having trouble viewing a couple of threads(not because of the bar, they just didn't show). Other than that

I saw a suggestion in the 420 Lounge that said the same thing...come to think of it, it may have been your suggestion there as well. I'm not sure I understand your reasoning there.

The ads are here. That's just the way it's gonna be. With more of a margin on the left, we'll lose even more screen real estate when we're reading posts. Maybe I'm looking at this from a different angle???

Or do you want to sacrifice that screen space?

I'll vote for that! The pages no longer fit in my standard-size browser window. I have to make it full-screen and the left three inches are just empty border, except at the bottom of the window where "Welcome Back", "Cheaptalk" links, "420 Lounge" links, "Garden's Cure" links, an ad, and a "Sponsor" box appear on the left.

If I make my window smaller, these things appear at the top of the page on the right, but I have to scroll to see them. If I make the window wider so I can see them w/o scrolling, they shift to the bottom and I get that three-inch margin on the left.

I think that anyone seeing what Buzzby has just described is running at a very low resolution. 640x480 and 800x600 don't seem like they'd be too friendly with the new design.

I've checked this site using Firefox 1.5.0.4 and 2 Beta 1. Also with IE6 and 7 beta 2. They all look the same.

If your eyes can handle it, try running at a minimum of 1024x768. It may be too small for some, but it'll definitely look better.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.3.9. My browser is Safari 1.3.2.

It's much worse with Netscape Communicator 4.79 and Internet Explorer 5.2 (the latest Mac version).

It looks fine in Mozilla 1.7.3.

My screen resolution is set for 1024 x 768.
