Yeah, well, once you get off probation go ahead and smoke, but one lesson you'll have to learn is that Cannabis (marijuana) isn't everything.

Use your time off now not to pine for the time when you will be able to toke, but to think about your relationship with the plant. How do you use it? Is it an escape, or is it simply a nice thing that you do every once in a while, and you just happened to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time when you got caught?

Take it from one who got caught stealing money from his parents to support a weed habit because they took away my allowance (because I was smoking weed). I wasn't about to stop, so I started taking what I felt was rightfully mine, but then I was caught and I had to force myself to stop for a while.

In that time I learned a couple of things. I had to just focus on the moment, on life as it was and is without the herb. It's really interesting even without the stuff, it's just also nice to have that every once in a while. The herb is a positive thing only if your mindset in life, as well as your relationship with the herb is positive and healthy. Then, it's good shit.


Anyway... as for my habits, I stumbled upon pot summer after 9th grade (just turned 15), been smoking on and off ever since. I'm about to graduate highschool (I'm 18 and so can vote and be drafted--fun stuff there), and I've been on a non-smoking stint for a couple of weeks to crack down on the work front, but come summer (and prom which is this friday) I'm not sure how that will hold up...

i smoked for the first time when i was prbly like 13 and im 16 now. I wouldnt of done it but going to a catholic skool for 9 years is really aggravating haha.

haha yep i know that feeling....although i pretty much ran my high school so the last 4 years wasnt too rough.

As for my smoking habits i started the summer between 10th and 11th grade. I remember the first time i feel like i got REALLY high wasnt untill the night before the SAT's i got soooo baked and still managed to get an 1170 on my first crack at em haha

My first toot was at twelve, on a joint, thanks to a much older family member who should have known better (it was a joint and I got very sick, more from the tobac than weed). I started to smoke a lot at fourteen and i was smoking daily at fifteen (at the time I was more worried about my drinking).
I'm now thirty-one and the longest I've been without pot is a week holiday to somewhere with scary enough laws not to look!
It has given me a lot, but I would be stupid to ignore all it has taken from me in that time...
Think on young smokers, better things to do with your day to day life than get stoned, as nice as it may be. (smoke has its place and its not every day!) Friends, lovers eventually fall by the wayside as pot takes over...
Don't get me wrong, I love the herb but I realise it can take over, slowly, insidiously, without you even realising. Suddenly your much older than you think you should be, friends have moved on and your still where you were ten years ago...

I smoked my first J (in a big strawberry rolling paper that was popular back then) when I was 16. I turn 50 this year, and have pretty much been smoking daily since I was 17.

I agree with Willie-I don't really smoke to get high anymore, I smoke to relax after a hard day at work. It's better than drinking (even tho I still drink beer/wine). Less calories if you can control your munchies!

I was 12. It was behind the football field at my middle school. I didn't get high and I didn't smoke again till I was 17. Weed has never smelled the same as it did the first time its wierd

First 'try' at about 16 or 17 but didn't get high and didn't like it since I didn't get high. Next time, 29 or 30 years old...got high....liked it!
