Okay the principle behind a water bong is very simple... The bowl is attached to a long tube or pipe that enters the bong and is submerged underwater... when you inhale from the top of the bong you suck air out of it so the only way air can enter to take its place is through the bowl which is lit.. and the bong fills up with smoke. Once you get a crapload of smoke in the bong you then remove the bowl and suck through the top once again.. the air rushes in from the side where the bowl once was and pushes the smoke up and out through the top of the bong into your lungs.

I hope this comes out right... but basically the bowl is that long piece sticking out the side.. make sure it goes well into the bong and is below the water level that way the smoke bubbles through the water before filling the long chamber above the water level.

instead of trying to remove the bowl just make a hole in the side of the bong put your finger over it while sucking in smoke and take your finger off to clear it, and no tin foil isnt very good for your health, but it will do for now........ahhhh i remember my first home made bong, was one of those big alien smoothie cups with a mouthpiece from a trumpet stuck through the bottom a carb on the side and it came with a top with this long straw that i used like a hookah tube, it was tight

I've been smoking for two to three years. It took me about 3-4 months before I got high, and when I got high it was with just one hit. I thought I was inhaling before and then someone punched me in the stomach and I really inhaled, and got high. I've never smoked out of a bong.

If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But only if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

Thanx again all..I finally had my first high last night..it wuz unbelievable..never had this much fun in a while.

this is how it all went down..(kinda long) (another smoking question near the end too)

My close friend came back from mexico the day before and he brought a ziplock bag full of ganja..
I havnt told anyone that I started smoking but when he asked me if I wanna toke the whole bag with him and 2 other people for a welcoming back party I glady accepted..

we drove down to pizza hut around 10:00 to pick up our friend after work and he hooked it up with..not 1..but 2 big new yorker pizzas.
I wuz gonna eat it right away until he said
"nah man!..save it for the munchies!!"

so by 10:30 we were hangin at another friends house and I wuz helping them break up the herb and we started rolling blunts (unfortunately I forgot my home made bong at home). By 11:00 we had 4 fat blunts rolled up..1 for the each of us!

this was the first time I ever smoekd with anyone so I wuz surely excited..but then I worried that I wuznt gonna get high..

but I did.

my first hit I sucked really hard (because someone on this board told me to) and I got some of the burning herb into my throat and I coughed really hard and almost threw up (thanx alot man..hehe j/k)..then I got the hang of it and started taking fat hits..

about 4 mins later we were about half way through our phillys and one of my friends suggested that we do that one technique were he blows into the blunt and I breathe the smoke that comes out into my nose..

I wuznt really sure it wuz safe but I tried it anyways...

after about 3-4 or sumthin minutes we were done and went back inside to chill..then I felt it.

I felt like I could feel earth spinning its orbit wwhen I wuz just sitting there..It felt like the whole house wuz flying..
haha at one point I thought a house plant wuz dancing in the corner..it wuz weird..
then my friends started pointing out "oh shoot look at Him! he looks hella high!" I just stared at my friends face and tried to see how he looked high..until I realized they were talking about me.

we all started grubbing..it wuz like 6 big newyork slices per person or sumthing but I wuz still hungry!

then we all started doing stupid stuff..
I guess this part goes in the "Funny things people say/done while high" thread..

my friend wuz drinking water and suddenly goes..
"whoa yo!..when u drink this..close your eyes and you feel like you are in the movie water world!"


lol..

then we played "Bungee Jump off of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas" for about 10 minutes..
all 4 of us were sitting on the couch and counting "123" then closing our eyes while tilting our heads back screaming..

i actually thoguht I wuz bungee jumping..lol

after that my friends cleared the living room floor and started breakdancing..I just stood there and listened to the beats and it wuz amazing..I could "feel" the music..I dont know how to describe it but im sure alot of you know..

after about 5 mins of that 2 of my friends fell asleep on the couch while me and my other friend watched "down to earth" with our extremely bloodshot eyes on the dvd player..and it wuz so hilarious.


Yea..thats pretty much it for my first "high"..
me and my friends all decided to go to the amusment park on Labor while we are Blazed up..haha I cant wait.

Im just wondering if that "inhaling through the nose" technique is safe..is it?

i remember when i was a newbie my freinds tolf me all the effects and cool stuff that happens like the way you chew or w/e and after i blazed i would alwayz be thinking " am i duing it like that" "are my legs felling like im floatin an there reely heavey like some super gravity" and all that stuff and it was weird
all that goes away after a few times and it goes away if you smoke till your baked thenm anytime aafter that will be true

if u don't know if u r high , u r not high enough . smoke some more , hold the smoke a bit longer in ur lungs .
