| OK, so one can find plenty of opinions extolling the virtues of the bud (well, ok, and many *****ing about it and the subsequent trouble they got into) but what I would really be interested in, is what would be the prevailing reason for quitting? I made this a poll even though people seem not to care for them.... -- Bear | |

| the only reason that i would quit anytime soon would be finacial difficulties. other than that... i try to make it a point never to put myself into a situation that might have the least bit chance of me getting arrested. i know that there arent very many health risks so that wouldnt be a factor. i feel that if my parents caught me, i would have a good explanation, and i dont believe they would be very angry. so i think it would come down to me not having enough money if anything.

| Why quit? Smoke once a year and you have a perfect high but dont need to worry about costs or getting busted. |

| Hmmm, I'm almost old enough to buy alcohol, and I plan on smoking for at least a few more years. I'm pretty sure that if Marijuana were legalized, I'd smoke it for the rest of my life. I only smoke occasionally, maybe as many times a week as some responsible adults might enjoy a glass of wine. Since I know there are no undesirable health risks, but infact, health BENIFITS, I'd never quit for so called 'Health Risks'. Truth is, the only bad thing about Marijuana is that it is illegal. The only downside is that I can be arrested for having it. I don't want to get to a point where most of the people around me are settling down and starting families, and I'm still living in an apartment getting stoned all the time... Unfortunately, society is getting in the way of my better judgment. | |

| You leave out an important answer in the survey. 'move on' Most people stop smoking because they grown out of it or just move on with their lives. I could never smoke again and won't think twice about it. |

| yeah, it was hard to come up with the choices, but alas. I think there would be many, many happy people here if it were legalized. Many. I feel that MJ can be incorporated into one's life in many different ways and quantities. To each their own - and I think it comes down to how the drug treats you and how you use it. Is it for an escape, for the buzz, or any other reason that floats around out there. -- Bear. | |

| I don't know, do christians ever stop praying? no? then I don't think I'll ever stop smoking. I'm not a rasta or anything, but I use the herb for spiritual and recreational purposes, there are other things that can get me there too (i.e. dancing, music, meditation) but nothing does it better than the herb. |
