Ive got some old comics but ive never read them.

i love all kinds of comix but am an avid EC comics fan. EC made tales from the crypt the vault of horror .... hell an issue of one of there titles(Crime Suspenstories) was the most damning peice of evidence to the comic industry in the 50's when the gov. attacked comix as a factor in juvinile crime. they make MAD magazine still also. so my answer to a charector is the crypt keeper from tales from the crypt. the show kicks a$$ too.

i agree with you shard. batman is definitely number 1 on my all time favorite superheroes. the guy is human with no powers, but still whoops ass.

the first two batman movies were awesome, they really showed the darkness and mystery surrounding batman. tim burton did a great job of showing that. the last two sucked though.

val kilmers and george clooney as batman was horrible casting, and arnold schwarenegger as mr. freeze was even worse. now i heard ashton kutcher is gonna play batman in the next movie. that movie franchise has really gone downhill.

Batman FTW. Spidey close second.

He has no powers. A mere mortal, armed only with only ingenuity, stunning intellect and his own strength he still manages to be a f'n badass. I mean Batman would prove to be a very worthy competitor, if not the demise, of most of those 'superheros' you listed anyways.

I can't wait for the new Batman w/ Heath Ledger as Joker. Gonna be sick, dark, and twisted!

The Punisher is very cool but he is more of an anti-hero in my book, and not someone I would see as a suitable role model for children. He also fights without much honor using stuff like torture and kidnapping. I dunno, what if The Punisher ran out of ammo? I mean he would be fucked, sure he may be a kung-fu master - but that is no use to Bat gas and some batarangs. The thing about Batman is he hardly ever kills his victims, instead

You have to look at all of it. The Punisher is fucking bad ass though.

I actually watched the movie with John Travolta last night. It sucked SO MUCH! He wasn't even 'The Punisher' until the very LAST scene where he says "I am the Punisher." *sigh* Maybe they will make a worthwhile sequel.
