Ya man Overdrive im sorry to hear that, kids can be really cruel.
It sucks at my school cause you relly cant just leave school, its like go or dont go at all. Sometimes i can sneak in after math class (1st period). the reason its so hard to sneak out is cause after 730am the doors magneticly lock and the only unlocked door is guarded by a security officer at all times, and theres at least 3 officers on all 5 floors. its easy to get around stoned but i still dont try. I only skip school when i just cant get myself to get out of my car, so me and my other friend will smokea few bowls and take little road trips

holy crap!!!!! all the doors magneticly lock???? dude that sounds like a friggin prison or something!!!! I thought my high school was crappy with cameras an stuff all around but forcing people to be inside by locking all the doors? there has to be something unconstitutional about that. do they atleast let you out to get something for lunch or all the doors are just locked from the begining till the end of the school day, what if you just wana go for a cig or something.

no, no doors opening to let you out, you have to have a note from mom/dad or doctor and a signed note from the administrator. Yes they all lock, and when we are in lunch they close the whole place off with gates to prevent ppl from leaving. i know its a fire hazard or soemthing but they dont care. and to answer your question, no its not a prison but it used to be. they tore out the whole 1st 2nd, and 3rd floor and redid it to look like a school. and they added on an extra 2 floors. Its a "nationaly recognized school of excellence" which yes it is, but alot trash there too. Its kinda funny. Some 2500 kids..

My high school (on the edge of East L.A.) had barbwire fences surrounding it. After the morning the only gate left unlocked was in the front where two security guards were posted. A real police officer in a marked police car patrolled around the high school for students who were brave enough to scale the fences as well. Even with all those obstacles, my friends and I still busted out a Mission Imposible a few times a year to go skateboarding.

My school has many Narcs wandering around outside, busting people for smoking cigs on school property (they fine and suspend you) and for weed. My friend got a $100 fine and 3 days suspension for being 3 feet on school property and smoking... what a joke.

I usually don't skip, but when I do it isn't to take advantage of a teacher not being there or something like that. I don't think it is very good if you simply don't go to a class if the chance arises, seems kind of childish.

However, I tend to skip quite a bit when it warms up. I can't help it, I just sit there and can't focus, thinking how nice it would be to sit by my favorite tree and smoke a J while talking to people about life. Having experiences like that every once in a while is good for you though, can't learn those things from a teacher.

man im lucky, at my school the only people who walk around at lunch are volunteer parents who don't even do sh*t anyways and when you skip you "might" get a recorded message curtesy of my principal who says somethin like "your son or daughter skiped class today..." and it dosnt have metal dectectors or magnetically sealed doors or that stuff, i would hate to go to a school like that, thank god i live were i live

I've never put off school or work to smoke pot. If for some reason I really wanted to get stoned, I'd probably light up before work, but I'd be sure to go to work and finish out the day without smoking on the job.

At my last job, I was getting a ride every day from my girlfriend's sister, and she is a major pot head. Since I had to hitch a ride to her place with my sister on her way to school, I would get there about an hour before we would leave for work, so I'd end up getting stoned every day before work. It didn't affect how I did my job or anything, and if I were legal I'd probably smoke on breaks, but it's too risky to get caught smoking on the job. Even if it was a job I wasn't too fond of, there is always the possibility of your employer turning you over to the police. I've seen this happen, and I'm not about to get busted for something that can be avoided with almost no effort on my part.

Yea i play hookie one day to smoke pot all day....And I will say that was the worst high i ever had i felt really bad the whole day. I kept thinking of what my mom thinks and everything making me feel even worse. after that day i told myself to do better in school and everything and get in a good college.

I smoke weed all the time, but I usally don't "skip" anything to do so. If I really want to smoke I will do so and then still fulfill my previous obligations. Going to school stoned is not that bad, you just have to make sure your note-taking habits are up to par

Pot-smoking is part of my life the same way cigaettes are part of a tobacco smokers- although since I am not physically addicted, I do not have to take "smoke breaks" at work like a tobacco smokers, nor do I smoke during class breaks at school.

BTW: Out of curiosity, has anfone here (besides me) ever taken advantag of their school's lab to test their VO2 Max (a measure of cardiovascular/lung function) too see the effects of smoking weed on their lungs? I have and mine came back a bit better than "average", so my conclusion is that MJ has no effect on lung function (but, then again, I've only been a heavy toker for 3 years, so maybe it just has not hit me yet)..

high school sucked for me too, and i dropped out several times(or got kicked out). high school is a sad frickin joke! its never been an emotionally safe place to go, and nowadays its not physically safe to attend high school.
the thing about high school is that some people can hack it and some people cant. if ya cant, get out and take your g.e.d. when you can. by the time i turned 15, high school was like hell on earth for me and i didnt want any part of it. i even moved to another state just to escape its clenches. i moved back though, and ended up enrolled in a different high school(which sucked like all the rest)well i ended up getting booted from that school and sent to continuation school(which wasnt so bad)but i was and i ended up getting booted out of that one too. i wasnt a bad person, i just had an awful attendance record. i just didnt want to be there. and when i didnt want to do something... i didnt do it(that part hasnt changed about me to this day ). anyways,overdrive... youre doing the right thing at the present time(a hell of alot more than i did when i was your age!)
i did get my equivalency diploma when i was 18 and you should too. keep up the work with the music festivals though!!! sounds like fun to me!!! you sound like a very creative person!!
as for the poll... puffing bowls IS one of electric's daily activities!!!
