My grades have actually increased since I started smoking. Last semester I walked away with a 3.59 GPA and my name on the President's and Dean's List for academic excellency.
As of right now, I've got all A's in the five classes I'm taking. Two are 400 level and the other three are 300 level courses.

Hells yes to everybody that said their grades stayed same or improved with their pot use. We need to show others through our actions that pot isnt this demon drug which makes you lazy and stupid and drop out of school but that it helps, if anything. People who perpetuate the stupid stoner stereotype just make it harder for us to change others and hopefully one day change this law. BE the change you wish to see in the world.

My grades stayed the same when I started smoking because they couldnt really get any better. I graduated highschool with a 4.6 GPA...on a 4.0 scales because of honors and AP classes and whatnot. Something amzing did happen after I started smoking weed tho- I became the only person from my high school to EVER have graduated an entire year early because supposedly it wasn't possible....whatever....::

Got a 33 on the ACT sober...took it again hi and got the same 33!!

Now I'm a grade ahead in college (sophmore when all my friends are freshies), on the deans list, in the highest honors program (which only 20 ppl from whole grade get accepted to), getting 3.9 GPA and have taken the max amount of credits allowed a semester if not more for all 4 semesters I have been enrolled.

Ohh and I have been working fulltime for 3 years, have over 100 hours flight time, bought my own gorgeous mustang with my own money from working (nothing from parents) at 16 and will be buying MY OWN HOUSE (all my money-no parents) this summer at the age of 19!!!!

How is that for a success story?? I want to tell the whole world: "Yes I am a pot head and this is the horrors it has done to my life....HAH"

Although it sounds like you're bragging, big time, I'm going to assume it's just a misunderstanding due to the fact this is on the internet.

And just praise you, cause that is kick ass. I read about you buying your own house in another thread, but damn! Marijuana, what a horrid drug.

I started smoking pot (on the weekends) when I was 14. That was almost 10 years ago. When I started smoking I was in high school (obviously) and my grades did drop. Now, the thing is, when all of this was taking place, my parents were going through some rough times which would later lead to their second divorce (yes, my parents married, divorced, re-married, and divorced again) when I was 18. So, I'm not sure if the effect on my grades was due to: (a) stress from my parents (b) pot or (c) typical teenage male rebellion.

I continued to smoke pot, increasing it to everyday use by 12th grade, and by that time my grades had risen and I was actually doing good in school. Don't get me wrong, I never did bad in school. I graduated in the top 10 percentile of my grade, so I don't really think pot dropped my grades. As long as you keep your work first and recreation second, you'll usually come out just fine.

My grades dropped by an entire letter grade from last year to this year. I didnt smoke as much as I do now last school year. I just don't care as much, maybe its from the weed, or maybe i've been in school 11 years too long.

Hah, yeah I know it totally did. It was the fact that this is the internet and there is absolutely no way to get any sort of expression into your text, when the vast, vast majority of said expression comes from how you say something....I'm almost sure everyone here has at some point or another gotten into a major misunderstanding over AIM or the like because of this issue. Not cool.

But plus its somewhat a question where any answer, unless the answer is no my grades dropped miserably, is going to have some degree of bragging in it.

I stopped stop smoking weed for a little while to try to get things cleared up, because I used to smoke like 2 times a day every day and I dont want to keep doing that. So anyway 1st term I had 2 Fs and a bunch of Cs, 2nd term I had 2 Fs, and 2 Ds, then I started smoking pot again weekly and I just got my report card and for 3rd term (on weed) I now have only 1 D and the rest Cs and Bs. No Fs!!!
