I find it interesting that.... so far.... the majority have voted: "No, if you really wanted marijuana legalization you would have voted for someone who wants legalization." That doesn't even include me, I voted "yes, people have the right to be hypocrites." I think people have the right to vote non-legalization and complain about prohibition, I just find it annoying and retarded. Peace, HN-

I can't vote just yet (silly 16 year old me ) but I have told my friends that when I can vote I will vote for the people who want to make weed fully legal. Right now that is important to me and I don't see any signs of that changing so when I can vote, it's one more vote for all those stoners out there!

It's not hypocritical to vote for the lesser of two evils who can actually get elected. In the Presidential race, I have a choice between McCain, Obama, or some obscure third-party candidate. If I vote for the guy who can't get elected, that's taking a vote away from Obama, who actually can get elected. Obama is not my ideal candidate, but he's lightyears ahead of McCain. I'm not going to get Bob Barr elected by voting for him, but I'd be helping McCain get elected.

Do I want the empty bragging rights, saying "I voted for candidate Mr. Legalization", or do I want to see medical marijuana patients and suppliers protected from prosecution for the next four years? For me, that's an easy choice. Politics is the art of the practical.

The way Obama is flip flopping on issues, I doubt that he'll have any opinion concerning MMJ.

Fuckin' A. Plus, voting isn't just about legalizing marijuana, if McCain had a better energy plan then Obama I'd vote for him, even though he's insane and would sooner die then legalize pot...thank god he doesn't though, if this guy (McCain) wins I'm gonna be seriously pissed.

Marvin420, Obama has "flip-flopped" less then McCain (plus he did promise to end federal raids on mmj things...patients or dispensaries, I forget). And let's fucking grow up, "flip-flopping" isn't exactly bad, if you're too stubborn you can't get anything done. I'd rather have a politician who changes his view then one who doesn't. In all honestly, if I hear one more negative attack on either of these idiots and not an intelligent problem with one of their policies I'm going to lose it....again. (someone said to me that Obama's energy policy was to inflate your tires...)

The way I see it if you voted for a candidate that was pro-legalization you can really mean it when you say you tried/try to get marijuana legalized. What does it say to all the candidates when a large part of the marijuana crowd here don't vote for pro-legalization candidates? What if cheaptalk was truly a good example of marijuana users and the millions of MJ users that are not here at cheaptalk vote similar in comparison, mostly for non-legalization candidates?

To those who didn't vote legalization..... marijuana prohibition go's on, you helped vote for it to go on. I'm starting to think the end of the world will come before the end of marijuana prohibition, seriously. Peace, HN-
You have yet to give us a viable pro marijuana candidate. Besides; are you talking about US or Canadian politicians? It will probably be a cold day in Hell before marijuana reform happens on the federal level in the USA. State and local governments are much easier to approach on the issue of marijuana, and I expect there shall be more progress in the future with more states either decriminalizing, allowing med pot or making marijuana a low priority agenda for LEOs.

Barack Obama has shown himself to be too uncommitted for me to believe his stances and promise to not allow the DEA to prosecute Med pot patients.
Of course , now that he has chosen Senator Joe Biden as his running mate, I think we all can assume that Obama is faking another Liberal orgasm. Pro marijuana on the Hill is political suicide.
