I recently bought an ounce in another city(not that far away, maybe 2 hours with public transpertation) and i remember how paranoid i was that a cop would find me, that i wish i coulda got a ride home instead of having to take busses and trains, but now that i'm home(and smoked)and think about it i wonder if it was the safer thing to do.

I mean i've read a ton of caught and near caught stories, and basically all of them(excluding a few where people were smoking outdoors)happened while in thier or a friend's car, i can't remember ever reading about a guy walking from point a to point b being caught.

I thought more about this and have come to the conclusion it's probably alot easier to get caught in a car. First off you could accidentally do something wrong(speeding, headlights, running a light) without realizing it. Also if you're already high your much more likley to be noticed/pulled over driving, since cops take it seriously for DUI, and while walking you probably won't be noticed long enough while they drive past to stop, especially if its during the day. Plus its highly unlikley that there'll be a cop on a train or bus checking people for drugs(well not yet anyway, who knows nowadays when that'll start).

Another thing is once you're pulled over in a car you are in alot more trouble then if your walking. Anything in your car(including smoke) belongs to you and if they really wanted to take it the whole way they could get dogs and completly search your car, but while walking you could ditch your stuff in a bush before they get to you in hopes of them not seeing, and pretty much denying u own it(unless they see u toss it) unless they wanna go all out and get fingerprints.

And of course theres also the fact theres more of a chance to get away if it goes that far, you can easily run off the road around buildings when on foot, but hard to with a car, since you can't just leave your car there, and you'd have to be stopped and they'll be close before you can run.

Uh...I make a point of not looking like a pothead. The rest doesn't matter, because there's little chance a cop is going to search me whether I walk, drive, or ride a pogo stick.

Remember-no matter whether you're walking or driving, if a cop decides he wants to search you, he will. There are far too many ways for cops to sidestep your rights. Knowing that, it's just alot easier to not give the cops reason to pay attention to you when you've got weed on you, rather than hoping any cops you might encounter will respect your rights.

I always feel much safer in a car. I do a fairbit of walking home from a friends house when im high and always worry that I'm going to be stopped by a cop since its late and past the set curfew for my town. Id say if your smart when your driving and make sure your doing the speed limit and not doing anything illegal your pretty much home free. When a cop sees a random person walking a long a street at 12:45 am its a little suspicious... therefore leading to a stop.

Driving is the safest and most practical method. Many people can't walk to their dealer. Drive sober is the #1 rule everyone should follow. When I pick up anything I make sure my car is clean and orderly. I dress rather clean cut and I dont look the freevibe stoner so thats not a problem. I always have my ID, registration and insurance right next to me just incase so I'm not nervously fumbling around my car. And I put whatever I have in my boot or in my trunk. On my way home I keep the music off and focus on my driving and surroundings. Following these rules consistantly each time makes it near impossible to get caught.

As long as your sober car is the safest way because even if you get pulled over hopefully the cop will have no reason to search your car.

I usually drive. I never worry about getting pulled over because unless you're driving like a real moron by a cop you aren't going to get pulled over. Even if you do, there's no guarantee they will even search you. I've never had cops pull over and search or even talk to me when I'm walking. Oh wait, I have once, but only because we were in a park past dark and they had recently made a bylaw or something that you couldn't be in parks after dark or something and they had bike patrols because lots of kids were getting drunk and stoned and causing problems. Anyways, as long as you aren't acting suspicious or like an idiot the chances of getting stopped and searched is pretty slim so I don't even worry about it.

I DO however worry about smoking in cars because its really easy to spot and if you get caught you can be in some deep trouble.

I make sure these days to have my registration and insurance card under the sun visor, so I don't have to open my glove box (which has a lock on it). From what I can understand, a cop in my state has to have "probable cause" to look into your glove compartment. Also, i've been pulled over high and couldn't find my insurance card and that was VERY scary.

Hide the weed well in the car, drive sober...follow ALL rules of the road and 99.9% chance you won't get bothered.

If your traveling a distance, take a Greyhound...they don't x-ray bags or do any security for passengers. You could strap 10 oz to your legs and get on one of those busses. How often does a bus get pulled over?

One afternoon I was passing through an intersection on the way home when an accident occurred a few cars ahead of me!

Being a former Girl Scout, I pulled off the road to lend assistance.

An off duty paramedic also stopped and we triaged both cars -- neither set of occupants was badly injured but all shaken up.

After the police arrived I asked to be excused -- and as I hadn't witnessed the actual occurrence, and Poochie Budz was in the car and needed to be watered, I was allowed to go.

When I was back in my car turning into my drive I recalled the 1/4 in my pocket as I had been returning from a buy when I pulled over to be a Good Samaritan.

Karma was good that day!

i think itz a very good idea 2 use public transportation when goin 2 a dealer. in a car u can get pulled 4 not makin a turn signal. i never seen a bus get pulled by a cop.

I always thought driving as long as you are ok and not swerving around or anything was better, but like just tonight there was a roadblock at a major intersection on my way home. One of those deals wehre they stop every 3rd car for drugs/alcohol search. Luckily i had nothing on me, and i didnt get stopped anyhow, but i can see how these types of situations could be a horrible end to a night.
