I've never (and probably won't ever) do it. But I truly don't see anything wrong in doing it. I agree that ink and paper aren't holy, and although the ideals the bible portrays are considered significant by many, it's not the ink and paper that give those concepts their importance.

I expect that perhaps if I followed the bible I may think differently, but this I'll never know.

I have much respect for people of all different beliefs, and I disagree that smoking a bible blunt is disrespectful to those of Christian faith as long as it's not done for the mere purpose of disrespect or mockery. I don't see how tearing pages out of the bible is insulting to a one's religion, the person usually isn't purposefully attempting to mock God, they're just trying to roll a joint. Also, the bible isn't the sole entity of Christian faith, more of a guide for those who choose to follow God. Faith lies in the person, not a book.

You make a good point that the ink and paper aren't holy but I would still feel weird smokin' a bible blunt. What if God just blasts me with a lightening bolt right in the middle of a fatty rip?!!!! Then that'd be a wasted hit!

The word of God should be respected and to turn his words into use for an illegal substance is wrong. I will NEVER burn a blunt from the bible...and if you do its pretty much like slapping God in the face...

It's only wrong if you believe in the Bible. If you don't believe in the Bible, what's so bad about it? A true christian won't do it anyway.

I don't believe in christianity's version of God, so I had no problem. I have a different concept, like some universal God that's out there created the universe, then let it evolve on it's own (deism). When you die, he'll let you into a heaven-like place if you were a good person, not based on what religion you followed. So I had no problem smoking the Bible...it's only a "slap in the face" to that God if you believe in him.

Mamabudz you are correct! Genesis 1:29 says: "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." which I think means "enjoy what I have given you".

I personally think that it would be wrong to tear out a page of the bible, whether to smoke it or whatever. Just like someone said before, the bible may be just paper and ink, but the american flag is just cloth and thread, and lots of people would think of it as an act of treason to burn it. And if you are an athiest, why do you have a bible anyway? Open it up and read it instead of tearing out a page and smoking it.

I myself am a Christian, although I dont agree with a lot of what most denominations preach. I dont believe in "mortal sins" and I dont go to church every sunday. Christianity, I think, has been so twisted and manipulated in the past 2000 years that most people are turned off because they think that to believe in god you have to walk around like youve got a yardstick up your anus....and Ive met a lot of christians who are like that...thats why I dont go to church anymore. IMO, smoking, cussing, playin poker, having sex, sleeping in on sunday, etc. is just details.....I dont think god has a little scoreboard up there and takes a point off every time you masturbate. To me, its more of a matter of if you are a "good person" or not....if you go through your life as an honest person, and respect the earth and the people around you, god has a place for you in heaven. People have this idea that christains are boring, whimpy people who never have any fun....and thats just not always the case.

I might be totally wrong, and we will all just die and we will cease to exist, but why take that chance? I have a hard time believing that there is no god.....our planet (and our universe, for that matter) is full of things that just cannot have been created by a rock smashing into another rock.....

OMG....you've basically sumerized my feelings on organized religion up right there. I agree completely. i bleive Jesus had the right idea, and I do believe in God, but i think organizd relgion corrupted the entire concept, to the point where I can't agree with any of them completely. I'm not a perfect person by anyone's measure, and I've done plenty of things wrong in my life. I don't, however, believe i'm doomed to an eternal hell because of those things. Forgiveness and tolerence are both major themes in His teachings, but organized relgion is lacking in both areas more with each passing day.

how can u say ur commiting a sin by smoking weed in the bible it says "i have given you all of the seed bearing plants and crops to use" genesis 1:29 some thing close to it.
