Thats Ok....I perfer sunny Jamaica to rainy, dreary A-dam any day! Weeds cheaper, the suns warmer, and its beautiful beyond description. As they say "Once you go, you know" I can see why thats Jamaica's tourism slogan, because it couldn't be any more accurate!

hmmm.. well at the moment I'm not really doing much of anything. I've been teaching myself c++ for the fun of it and I'm on the way to getting my CCNA and maybe even CCNP.. So I'm probably just going to make a career as a network tech, if you could call that a career.

In the future I would love to get down and dirty with every aspect of websites or databases, something like what Higher Logic does, but that takes a lot of expertise that I really doubt I could develop without at least a four year degree. I don't plan on going to college because I'm not too fond of school in general.. When I'm getting paid I'm just about the hardest worker you'll ever meet, but once I get into the classroom my interest in doing well pretty much disappears. I have heard that with a phenomenal SAT score I might be able to slide my way through the door to a university even though my grades in high school have been, to put it lightly, crap. I know that I could do well enough on the SAT to generate interest from at least a few schools if this is true; however, until I'm a little more motivated I don't even want to risk blowing that opportunity.

And besides that, I don't really see a reason to subject myself to another four years of structured schooling.. I'm not the kind of person who needs tons of cash and a huge house to be happy. As long as I have a roof over my head, weed in the bong, and money to put away for a rainy day, I'll be just fine. Having a great girlfriend(future wife?) doesn't hurt either. I'm out to make myself happy, with no apologies given to everybody who thinks I should "do more with my life."

After graduating in a couple of weeks, I'm going to find a job. Anywhere will do; I'll be a night stocker (night stalker?) at wal-mart if it's all I can find. A friend of a friend is looking for a roommate, and I'm looking to get out of the house, so these next few months should give me a taste of something--hopefully freedom--that I haven't experienced before. All of this uncertainty is actually kind of exhilarating. On second thought, I think it's more frightening than anything else, but I love a good scary story

Guessing 'til the end,
medizone

The reason for this is because my passion is animals, but it never paid what I wanted to make. So, I ended up working Pharmacy more as the pay was a lot better, and the benefits were too. Right now, I am disabled, and I do get an income, but that's my business. My husband has an income too.

But, we have a nice 3 bedroom home, with lots of land and a pool, cars, etc. We live good.

Right now, I'm in nursing school (still got two years left) and work part-time as a nurse's aid. I make about 15$ CAN/hour, which is considered good where I live.

Default seeking truth

Hey Vicki! I just saw your thread asking what everyone does for a living around here. I thought I would throw my 2 cents in the ring. I've been a health and fitness instructor for the past 10 years. Teaching arobics and other fitness classes. Aquitics, boxing, cross training.......Also working for an insurance company as a customer service rep. (State Farm) However, I am no longer doing either one. After my divorce and working my a** off to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. I have met someone who is able to let me stop the madness and stay home and finish raising my little one myself instead of him being in daycare for 11 hours a day. Thank goodness! Anyway....I smoke, raise a family, cook kick a** meals every night, drive a 05 impala SS, have 3 very succsefull kids, all working and in college and doing quit well if I don't say so myself They all love each other, the Lord and mother nature! So all in all, I'd say I'm a sucess in life and guess what? I GET HIGH!!
Peace, love and chicken grease baby!!!

Default Seeking Truth

Morn'en all. Just to answer the question: What do we stoners do for a living? I have been a health and fitness instructor for 10 years. Also I have worked for a major insurance company for 15 years. Have 4 children, go to church, pray frequently!!! Now, I'm a stay at home mom. Due to the fortunite meeting of my live in boyfriend whom makes a very good living and is ok with me staying home. Now I spend my days cleaning my very beautiful home surrounded by woods and 3 large ponds. Going shopping, running errons for my boyfriends business, teaching my kids right from wrong and to be respectiful, productive people. They all know I smoke, respect my decisions. I vote and stay up on current events too!
