AMEN. I don't understand the appeal of putting a song on your phone for a ring tone. The crummy cell phone speakers ruin the effect, and even if the song did sound perfect, the novelty (imo) would wear off after the first few times. Normal ring tones are annoying and distracting enough to hear in public. I'd be a very happy man if cell phones only vibrated instead of ringing.

Worse yet, with cell phone customization becoming more of a trend, now we have commercials on TV saying "DUDE TEXT 23842 TO GET THIS AWESOME SMILEY ON YOUR CELL PHONE!!11". I can't think of anything more god damn stupid.

Sorry for the rant, but it was bubbling up inside of me, culminating into a torrent too great to contain.
