I chew them mainly because i enjoy the taste. Especially the taste from mid grade pot (mostly because i don't think i've ever chewed on a dank stem before). I have a certain dealer who always comes over, and when he packs a bowl (he usually has mids) he'll always give me the stems to chew on.

EDIT: ham sandwiches are the shit
