my husband has a kick ass pocket knife that he carries aroudn with him all the time. Like the American express card, he doens't leave home without it.

It is an Uncle Henry pocket knife a gift years ago from the guy we bought our house from.

i have carried one of these knives on and off for years, i used to a lot in high school and have started again in the past year or so because i have run into a few sketchy situations. it is legal in my state because it has no spring but it opens very fast with one hand. i basically always have it when im out of the house.

Word.

I had a very very sketchy situation come up not too long ago that got me back into carrying one.

I don't carry any weapons. When I'm older or if I ever get into a situation where I'd need one and I don't, I probably will start.

After the stabbing at a party I am against carrying a knife. I had one today, but I was out fishing. A knife is a useful tool, and I am all for having one in a car or at hand. I have even tried carrying a few, but I usually forget or don't end up using one. I dunno knives arent really for me.

Carrying a weapon only increases the chance of a serious injury or death of either person. I would never carry a weapon in public...except maybe if zombies attack .

Oh man, this brings back memories.....

When I was 15 /16 I carried a "blade". A switchblade or whatever, only it was about an inch long and not very sharp. It was a pink keychain knife, and I used it to split blunts and chop up off topic stuff (I was bad in high school, i dont do that anymore). I used to joke that if i ever got attacked I'd have to stab in the crotch region because it wasn't big enough to do good damage anywhere else. People were like "yeah, you'll get laughed at if you ever pull that p.o.s. out on anyone", and I never got a chance to.

It would've been a good fight though.

edit: Jeezthus Christh, you guys be careful with those fastopening, fast closing knives. I'm never letting my kid get one of those.

Once a kid in high school (not mine) had a "squirrel knife" (I don't know, i live in tennessee, it scares me as well) and it closed up on one of his fingers or something. I don't really remember but them thangs is dangerus.
