Cool Our southern brother's....

have consistently raised quality to remain competative, so you can really throw that B.C. bud propaganda out the window as far as I'm concerned....

Southern weed usually has a better buzz that last's longer as opposed to the supposed chronic....

I quit buying for smell and taste a long time ago......

I respectfully disagree. As an avid consumer of all things marijuana, I've had my fair share of both types. yes, Mexican weed has improved.....quite noticably even in my ten year smoking career. However, it isn't comparable to most Canadian weed I've smoked. Don't get me wrong, I've smoked pounds of mexi weed, and for those who like to smoke all day long, its the economical choice. however, he quality of the high just isn't the same as some seedless, yummy smeling/tasting canadian weed. Theres a reason BC is sterotyped as having good weed, and Mexico is sterotyped as having medicore weed....the reason those sterotypes are so prevalent is....dun dun duh!!!......they are TRUE for the most part.Average Mexican weed is competative because its so prevalent and cheap, not because its actualy comparable quality wise to KB grown with some TLC, whether it was grown in Canada, or your neighbor's basement. If you believe otherwise, you are simply lying to yourself

Cool Well Rondane....

welcome to the show....

To answer your question, I am no longer a commercial grower, so my simple tastes don't require such copius amounts. Two, when I was, I had a lot of friends who still to this day will take care of a friend in need...

TM...Love ya man.....you're my partna, you know that right?

Two things control business such as the herb business, quality and price. All things being equal these two things can determine the success or failure of any business venture.

I will use the Ohio valley area, because that is what I am familiar with. Large scale herb dispenser's are active all year. Homegrown is in all honesty a seasonal thing, because most people like outdoor weed around here, but competition is frowned upon, so a solution needs to be sought.

Now some fellow business men might consider violence, but that is not an option to a smart man, it just draws unwanted attention, so a second solution is sought.

First is price. We already have the lower price as compared to chronic, so what is next? Quality.

Suppliers in Mexico and other countrys that supply the U.S. herbage for years have continued to listen to quanity buyers complain about quality, and as TM said, the quality is getting better, meaning the length of buzz, taste and smell has improved on a par with the best hydro or farm herb that we can buy.

There is southern herb available that is just as good as any homegrown there is. We smoke it every year. It is presented to us as B.C. bud or Kush bud or cherry whistle stick, but it is southern bud, just of a high quality. I think the term "schwag" will fade slowly now as the herb begins to climb in quality and the older quality, non-competive bud becomes a thing of the past.

Everybody following so far? The term ya get what ya pay for still applies, but Southern bud has seen a quality lift that it's not given credit for, and I think that's a shame.

Seems we've become snobbish in the last few years and that's a shame to me, because who wants to pay a thousand dollars for a sack of Kootenay Thunderskank?

Not.......

Once again, I respectfully disagree. the quality improvements are there, no doubt. however, at least here, I've yet to see Mexi bud that compares in any way to quality KB. Better potency, a few less seeds....yeah, Mexican bud has improved, just not the degree you give it credit for. Maybe you get an entirrely different kind of Mexican weed than 99% of other people out there, but nearly everyone I know would laugh if you told them Mexican weed was on par with quality KB, grown in Canada, or anywhere else.

Cool Well TM....

Since I see your on this morning I'll put the question this way....having been involved in domestic distribution for some years I can tell you that most of the killer bud that you smoke comes from Mexico.

That is a fact. Now of course, we are told it is KB, because that is a good marketing ploy for the reasons you use yourself, "Who wants to smoke mexican?", and the major suppliers knew they couldn't get past that stigma, so they didn't even try. They just relabled their product, KB, and the marketing bonanza struck. It was a major marketing coup.

Now my question TM is this, how much do you estimate the domestic consumption to be? And two, where do you think this herb is produced?

Thanks for your input bro.....

I'd say the most i've ever bought would be a quart. Usually only ever for a few of us tops. And it never lasts as long as I plan. Its like so long as theres shit to smoke. You're smoking. You know?
