I'm in California, and I just bought a lighter the other day without a child safety lock!

I can't say I really LIKE this lighter...it's kinda strange actually. It's called a 'slider'! It's sorta split in half lengthwise...you grab it and then slide down one half of it til it lights at the top. It's re-fillable anyway...maybe I'll get used to it!

But, getting back to the original question...I also hate safeties! We have no kids, so they get pried off before the first hit. I also don't have child proof caps on my meds either!

I have to take the safety off, for whatever reason I always have a hard time with child-proof lighters after a couple bowl packs. I have a feeling I'll have to start leaving them on when my daugher gets older, though. I'd feel bad as shit if she burned herself because I forgot to put a lighter up.

I always take off the safety, but i leave on the sticker.

that's how i tell my lighters apart from other people's lighters

I dont really mind wether or not a safety is on the lighter, but whenever it is my own lighter, I take off the safety. dunno why, there isnt much difference with or without it, just formed a habit I suppose.

Same here. I took the safety off one of mine after seeing this and after using it in a sesh, I soon took off all of them

I do sometimes but normally just for other people. I don't really mind and never have any real issues with it.

they never really got in my way..the only person i would picture it bothering is a little kid that couldnt light it,which obviously the kid is the first reason for it being on there in the first place.but i guess if your used to lighters without them i could def. see it bothering you.
