| Since we have new posting guidelines her, I've been thinking more about censorship and how it works how it affects our daily lives. What's the buzz, folk's? Are we too censored in our own lives, or is everything just fine? Some Where In Ded Land........ ![]()

| I don't know if theres a whole lot of direct censorship like flat out you can't say/express this, but I do think there is subtle censorship everywhere you look. I mean in all media somebody reports to somebody who reports to somebody else. With all the stories having to be Ok'd first it makes it so easy for somebody to eliminate something just because they disagree. They could use any means of justification they need to but in its simplest forms thats still censorship and I think that because of the corruption higher up in the power scales we will forever be subject to some form of their bias opinions, and when they're opinions are always heard other people's aren't. Censorship: very alive in America today.

| Although quite trivial, the book "The Celestine Prophecy" touches on this subject. It puts everything from censorship to fairy tales in perspective, especially towards children. Apparently, the best way to raise a child is without censorship from the world. This way they will mature in the quickest way possible and lead truthful and ethical lives. Concepts such as fairy tales only retard a child's progression into adulthood where they must then re-learn and evaluate life for what it really is. I think censorship in the way of deleting an offensive and useless post is okay, simply for the sake of good manners. But thoughts, feelings, and truth should never be censored.
