I think that it should be released and I would DEFINATELY view it. Normally I'm squeamish about watching people die (i can't stand those "faces of death" vids), but this would totally feel like tha ending chapter on a great book. He's been in tha spotlight working with and showing how dangerous animals can be. I believe that he'd want people to see that a particularly harmless thing like a sting ray can kill even tha most experienced of people when it comes to survival and defense. It's almost a lesson in and of itself, showing what those cats on Animal Planet say before every episode "we are experienced and taking precautions, you should never do this yourself...yaddayaddayadda"

Yea thats exactly what Im comparing this to. Very similar situation altough I believe Grizzly Man's death was a little more violent. As for Steve, I guarentee he would want it to be showed, but I dont think his family would want it no matter what he said. I mean would you want the death of your husband or wife aired nationally and played over and over and over for people to scrutinize? I doubt it, that would be traumatizing, thus I guarentee it will not be released at any time. Id imagine when they say they are going to destroy it, they arent playing around, itll be burnt to a crisp I think.

EDIT: Plus, they dont show that kinda stuff on cable tv do they? It would have to be released on the net if anything.

OMG!!! Thats exactly what i said when my friend told me that he got owned by a stingray. stingrays dont stab, they slice. and how the hell does a stingray get through clothing, ribs, meat, and all that crap, and still manage to get his heart. Thats a lucky ass shot if you ask me
