I'm female and I grow my nails long. Not crazy long - just what I consider nice (I don't like the ones that are so long they start to curl - that grosses me out) My nails always grow really fast and they could pass for fake nails as they are strong. I usually have to clip them after 2-3 weeks so they don't get too long. I also prefer to wear them natural or with clear nail polish. I hate the upkeep of having to constantly repaint them when they chip.

I am a freak when it comes to hand washing and probably wash my hands more than normal. I guess it has something to do with the fact that I use to work in the medical field and you see and hear nasty things. When I had to do something gross I would put on 2 pairs of gloves. Afterwards, wash them well and then rinse my hands with rubbing alcohol just to be sure. I had to do some sick things so I had to take extra precautions.
