That's rather depressing...

You can't see your kids grow up. Certainly not past the age of 15, and that's only if you had children when you were 15...

50-60 only if I died skydiving or bungee jumping.

70-120 if I was Hugh Hefner.

But the real me. I'd vote for 70-90.

i actually saw this crazy science doc on the science channel one day talking about expanding ourlifespans..and guess what...its gonna be possible in 50 years to stop age progression (its all about free radicals, which age our bodies)...then in another 20 theyll be able to reverse it. sick stuff i saw it and was blown away...question is..would u want to live 500 years, in a youthful state? i know i would..

i wouldnt want to live a long time because i dont want to get sucked into the whole thing of working most of your life, and only getting to enjoy what you worked for for a short amount of time. plus, i dont want to be old and outdated. i want to enjoy life, not become a victim of society's working 9 to 5 repetition.

Let me see if I have this correctly...

"I want to die early because I don't want to have to work to support myself. Living a short time leeching off of my parents is a viable alternative to living a long, full life with a family of my own, possibly with children or a significant other."

Did I get that correct?

not exactly. its okay though

you almost had it when you said, "I want to die early because I don't want to have to work to support myself.", but its starting to stray away from the main point of enjoying life.

"i cant see myself enjoying a life where i work all the time just to be able to support myself", is more like it.

and what is the point in living if you dont enjoy it?

if i ever found something that i can enjoy and make money for doing it, id love to live a long full life. but unless that happens, the plan is to be out in my early 30's.

It's the good things in life that make life worth living.

"work all the time" ?

Fuck, what world you live in? You can 'get by' working less than 40 hours a week easy. You sleep 8 hours a night, that's 56 hours a week. That's a total of 96 hours a week so far... there are 168 hours in a week, that leaves 72 hours a week of free time, if you work 40 full hours a week.

is 10 hours a day free time not enough for you? That's not counting vacation and retirement time.

i live my life in days, not hours. the way i see it, you work five days a week, and by the time you get off work and do other shit you gotta do, each one of those days are pretty much shot. so that leaves you with two days a week. im not really feelin the 2:5 ratio.

What a sad, sad outlook you have.

Personally, I have a job that pays well, and I really don't mind doing. Hell, under the right circumstances, I'd almost do it for free. And, since I'm not planning on kicking off when I'm 30, I've got a decent savings, which allows me to live care-free should I want to pursue another career - which I might enjoy more at a later date.

I guess the fact that you have to work to support yourself is really too much... work, hu, Doc?

If that's your outlook, why wait? Why not just man up, and off yourself now? You don't need school, since you're not planning on using it, after all.
