Default When do you want to die?

Personally, I want to die between 65-75. After my great grandma (died at 96, moved in at 94) moved in with us about 5 years ago, it just made me realize that being that old is worse than death. While this seems harsh, I never want to be at the point where I am basically decaying and waiting for death. How about you guys, when do you want to kick it?

EDIT: Damn it I forgot to add 60-70, wow I'm dumb. Mod help please?

Well, my grandparents are in their 80's, and still everyone of them sharp as tacks (well, a little of the old people craziness, but just the usual Internet confusion and such ). I suppose I'm prewired to do well in old age, so I'm just gonna keep tickin till I stop.

There's your extra poll choice. I voted for 50-60. I figure by then is around the time my health is going to start to get worse, and I won't be able to do a lot of the stuff I like now. If I ever have to spend the rest of my life in bed and eat slop, I'm going to kill myself. I can't tolerate hospitals for more than 2 days, so I don't know what the hell I'd do if I was stuck in one of those retirement homes.

Well I would have said like 70-80 a couple years ago, but technology is advancing, and people are still doing things in the 70s and 80s. I can only imagine what it's going to be like in 50-70 years. So I said 80-90, even though I suspect that people in their early 20s will be living healthly and happy lives until their late 90s and perhaps more. I just don't want to be old and decrepate, using a feeding tube and shitting in a shiny metal pan.

If I didn't have kids, I would say my twenties...better to burn out than fade away. Hell, I am 33, so that wouldn't have worked anyway...lol

but, I have kids, and I can't imagine not seeing them grow up...but I can't imagine me being super old either.

So, I picked the last one b/c I don't want to live to be really old. The health problems, the memory problems, and I already know I will have them. And the fear of dying from a brain tumor like my grandmother had...

and I would like to just never wake up....if I am gonna die, I want it quiet and painless.

It depends on how well my life has been lived. If I get a wife that I love and we're together for a ridiculously long time like 40-50 years, I'd probably want to die a little after her.
