This has been discussed, and discussed, and discussed, and........discussed. Frankly its getting beaten harder than a chinese school girl who cant make the Nike's right.

How would you feel if Kazakhstan sent troops over and tried to change the goverment we have, killing thousands in the name of peace and taking nuclear weapons out of the hands of a retard.

Your view of the Iraq invasion is extremely narrow-minded.

It's all about oil, since the world depends on it to keep going.
Iraq is home to 20% of the world's oil supply. Saddam Hussein was in charge of Iraq. That meant he controlled a full one-fifth of the world's oil supply.
He also used intimidating tactics and put fear into the other Middle-Eastern members of OPEC so they would control the world's oil supply in the way he saw fit.

That same ruler wanted such supreme control that he killed tens of thousands of his countrymen because they didn't agree with him. That's called genocide. While it's certainly not the insanely high body count that Adolf Hitler or Pol Pot were able to achieve, it's still the ultimate example of mass-murder.
The number of people who have died in this war on both sides is nowhere near the the number that died ad Saddam's own hand or under his orders.

Yes, the government believed he was producing WMDs, particularly chemical weapons ad that belief turned out to be wrong. That doesn't negate the multiple other very valid reasons for toppling Hussein's regime.

Yes, war sucks. People die horrible deaths at far too young an age. It breaks my heart seeing that.
But in this case, it's not about a sandbox int he desert. It's about keeping the world functioning. It's about keeping your parents with gasoline to feed their SUV and industries having fuel to produce the materials for the house you live in and the clothes on your back and the electricity that powers the computer that you use to access the 'net and ultimately these forums.

says it better than anything else right now. I think it explains the mess we have gotten ourselves into over there. Probably one of the best articles I've read for a long time on the war and for sure you won't get to read it in too many American papers.

This has been my understanding of the region for over forty years now, see if you agree.......

Iraq is no better off now than when Saddam was in power. Genocide still continues through civil war. Saddam killed 290,000 or so. We've killed around 600,000 which is pretty much double what Hussein accompished and look how fast we did it.

Iraq makes me sick.
