| I don't know about improving your condition, but for me it makes being sick a lot more tolerable. Not good to smoke anything if you've got a cough though. That's where a vaporizer comes in handy. It's a lot easier on the throat and lungs.

| Whenver I'm sick, I'll switch to menthol cigarettes for a while, which seems to help (less harmful anyway). Maybe putting some menthol on the bud would do some good? |

| When I had bronchitis, it worked fucking wonders for me... With the cold and the flu, it's great too smoke. It makes me a feel a tad bit better, but the main reason I'll do it is because I'll actually have a little bit of fun instead of just moaning and groaning.

| THC is a bronchodialator, and all of the cannabinoids together have an immunomodulating effect, meaning it alters the effects of our immune system. It suppresses some reactions like those to histamines (allergies) etc... and accelerates some other reactions, some even say it accelerates the bodies response in suppressing cancer cell growth. I find that smoking weed takes care of my general allergy to tree pollen, coincidentally in Houston the massive amount of pine trees are all jizzing over everything. When I was a kid I used to have a bad time during this season, but now that I'm a pothead and always have cannabinoids in my system I don't really have that bad a time. The worst that'll happen is like when I walked outside this morning and sneezed a few times before adjusting to the pollen thick air. |

| Yea, pot certainly does not cure my colds or usually most of the symptoms. I'll still smoke, because yes it helps me forget about it all a bit, but not for any other reason besides that unless its for my stomach or possibly my headache

| Last summer I had some sort of viral infection similar to the common sore throat, though much worse. I had ulcerations all over the back of my throat, felt like I had metal shards stuck back there - terrible terrible pain, and nothing that could be done about it. I couldn't sleep cuz my throat hurt so bad, and everyone knows that one of the most beneficial things you can do when you're sick is rest...so a few days into it one of my buddies got this afghani/skunk cross, and of course there was no way I was going to miss out on that. Shit let me enjoy myself for a bit (eating food still wasn't that easy, but not quite as bad as before) but most importantly that shit knocked me OUT. Like you'd be all up when you needed to be, but as soon as there wasn't something to do ...BOOOOM, goodnight. I could see how smoking when you have a sore throat wouldn't be that good for you, but I've done it a few times with my dubbler and didn't notice it be any worse. For the flu I could see that working; cannabis is an antiemetic, which is why they prescribe it to some cancer and AIDS patients - that would help you with being able to keep some food down and up your body's overall health and help you fend off that infection. I remember one time doing...shit, I can't remember what my friend called it; basically it was a shotgun only you got one in each nostril and then in the mouth. Shit cleared up my sinuses when I was real clogged up one time a while back. I really can't remember if smoking has ever made anything better like MEDICALLY, although it's hard to deny that most of the time smoking when you're sick is going to make you FEEL better...maybe it's not really all that better than the OTC remedies??

| I've done it, sometimes it feels better, sometimes not. I have bronchitis but I just smoked, and I feel alright. But the main reason you think it makes it better(besides the fact you're getting high) is that marijuana is a bronchiodialator, so it becomes easier to breathe and drain mucus, but later on it just gonna make you more stuffed up and still sick. So to answer the original question, no, I don't agree. |
