| Is there any affect of marijuana itself on a child's mental or physical state? I would imagine most of the damage comes from the smoke, not the effect of the drug. Most of the time, you read or hear about a woman who smoked pot, possibly among other things, and has her life or her babies life affected by it. Propaganda Would eating a brownie or something similar be okay for a child's development inside the womb? There probably isn't too much information available about the subject. Time for a change? Rise up against the man, maybe? An underground revolution of doctors and scientists? ![]() |

| I've heard it can affect the development of the nervous system or something. I probably wouldn't want to risk it if I was a pregnant woman, a 9 month break isn't that big of deal.

| I don't know any scientific data but I can tell you that anything going in to a pregnant mothers body makes it in some way back into the developing child. Marijuana, i.e. thc and smoke (even cigarettes) cannot be good for it. I'd advise not smoking or drinking.

| women in jamacia have ingested THC for years to help morning sickness. Dispite what people may think, a study in jamacia has proven no damage to the babies health. Its somewhere over on mj.com, i think its one of the marijuana myths |

| I didn't do anything when I was pregnant. In fact, I quit smoking cigarettes 6 months before I knew I was pregnant. I decided that I wasn't toking either. I don't believe it would have hurt my daughter if I had used it for morning sickness, but I just didn't want to take any chances.

| I quit smoking weed the second I found out I was pregnant. It wasn't worth the risk. I didn't have any trouble with morning sickness so the though of smoking didn't even cross my mind. I wasn't sure if smoking weed would hurt my unborn child or not...so why take a chance? I'm a daily smoker for well over a decade and quitting for a year or so wasn't that big of a deal. If I can't quit for the safety and health of my unborn child...it would make me feel like an addict or something. I don't really think that smoking a little bit of weed is going to hurt the baby but since I didn't REALLY know for sure, I just couldn't take that chance. I'm sure off-topic smokes are way worse and women smoke them while pg all the time. I've read the article about Jamaica moms smoking ALL the time but (FOR ME) it still didn't make it ok or safe. 2 months after my daughter was born, I had my first joint. It was well worth the wait ![]()
