You can do a few very simple things to smoke in your room.

• Bucket-Bong
  • a Bucketbong allows you to make sure no smoke is "lost" into the room around you, all the smoke that is created is held in the bong until you inhale it.
• Spoof Tube
  • Exhaling into this will mask the scent of marijuanna greatly almost to zero.
• Fan in Window
  • Blow all "spoofed" air out of your room, and ideally away from your house.
• Incense ("your room smelled like a locker room - you're tired of it and are going to clean up your room")
  • Your mom will be happy to hear you want to clean your room, and don't want it to smell badly.
• Clean your room / help around the house
  • Your parents will believe you're more mature if your room is clean and you help around the house. Getting good grades isn't a bad idea either.

All of this will not only help you in the short run, by keeping your parents off your back, but if they catch you, they'll also be more likely to allow you to keep smoking if you're being a "good person" than if they believe you're "strolling down the wrong path in life."

There are 3 requirements for a safe place to smoke.

1. It must be secluded. Common sense
2. It must be convenient. Somewhere that is close enough to your home that you can run there or drive there quickly if neccesary. If your in a car try and make sure its not more then a 5 minute drive, if on foot, try to make it not much more then a minute run.
3. The most important reuirement is that you need to be able to see if anyone is coming before they get there. This way you can eat the bud or put the bowl away or do whatever is neccesary.

But the safest place is anywhere indoors because tha cops can't come in without a warrant, and if they do you can have thier badge.

The place I feel most comfortable and safe smoking is in my best friend's bedroom. She lives with her parents and 2 brothers, but her parents smoke too, so it doesn't really matter.
I'm not a big fan of smoking in public. I've smoked in many parking lots, a hospital bathroom, parking garages, lots of cars, and at parks in mid-daylight.
I'm way more cautious about my smoking in public than I used to be. I didn't use to give a ****, but now I'm a little conscious about it most of the time.
I like smoking in peoples' houses/apartments the most, because it's almost guaranteed to be perfectly safe.
And as for being stoned in public goes, I really don't care. I like driving stoned during the day, but not at night. Because during the day, I can wear my sunglasses I go to drive-thrus constantly when I'm stoned, also...I go to Blockbuster, or the grocery store to pick up some munchies. I find it not that big of a deal, because no one ever says anything...except maybe grin/wink or something of the sort, which I don't mind at all.

Well, the absolute most secure place to smoke is in a dorm room, because even if you get caught, you're dealing with campus police/security instead of the real police, so penalties are a lot lighter. Failing that, in your room with the tube contraption and a fan is VERY safe, so long as you keep everything close to the fan. I live in Arizona when I'm not at school, and another pretty secure place out here is out on mountains. The hike is normally pretty cool at night, you get a great view while you smoke, and you've got tons of warning for anyone coming because it's pretty much impossible to "sneak" up a mountain and catch you.

I disagree, my one buddy went to a college where they (from what I hear... may be just rumours) can kick you out for even toking on campus.

Guess it depends on the school. My school doesn't bust an anual 420 event where 100+ kids have a communal smokeout in the football feild
