| How much damage will smoking marijuana do to my lungs? In my case of scenario, I usually smoke for two weeks then take a break for one ect. The last time i smoked before july 5th was april 20th. Since July 5th I have smoked say about anywhere from 6-10 hits everyday with the exception of three days. Do you think I will feel noticeable damage( running stamina/endurance/reaction time) when i play sports or when I go for a run? Or will noticeable damage only be felt after a very long period of smoking often? I am just curious because I would like to smoke tonight being that I have nothing to do, but i am going to be in a lacrosse tournament about a week from now. I wanted to take a break from smoking yesterday and start running everyday from tomorrow until the lacrosse thing just to get my stamina and everything back in gear. But on the other hand if me smoking a few hits(4 or 5) tonight, just to get a decent high, isn't going to make a difference i want to do it and make tonight my last night. sorry if this is long. Any responses would be greatly appreciated my parents because my parents will be coming home in about 45 min.. |

| yes, smoking isnt good...but one last time wont do anything. ive smoked daily for 3 years and i can run and such the same as my first toke. i say go for it

| Well, smoking anything is bad for your lungs. But, as traditional smokables go, mj is of the least destructive. Furthermore, at the amount your smoking, it probably won't be a problem, especially if the last time you smoke before the tournament is a week before it. But if you're really concerned about your lungs, then I would suggest getting a vaporizer. They can get pretty expensive, and I don't really know of any cheap ones, but they should take out all the negative health aspects that you have when you smoke marijuana. Or, if you have enough, you could always cook with it. | You can always eat or vape. Marijuana will hurt your lungs many times less than just about anything else that can be smoked, including tobacco. Furthermore, you'll have a lower rate of lung cancer.

| I believe the fact that you are an athlete reduces any harm done to your lungs considerably more than just someone who sits around and gets high. As long as you keep yourself in shape, you should be fine. Many famous athletes get high. |

| Yeah, as long as you remain active, your lung capacity should remain 100%. This is true even with cigarettes, which hurt lungs more than just about any other substance. if you run 5 miles a day, starting cigarettes (or weed) will not prevent you from keep on doing those five miles every day. It's when you stop that running, and continue to smoke that your lungs will start to lose their capacity. |

| Just bite the bullet, spend the 400 or so dollars and get a vaporizer. Your lungs will thank you for it. I personally both vape and smoke, depending on my mood...and I'll occasionally eat it..but never eat premium bud. If you are gonna cook, use mids |

| Just smoke and workout if you can, they'll contradict and even each other out... some people say if you workout high it actually helps though. or go with Jake and head over to the Cheba Cafe and learn "special" recipes. I think cooking you need more weed than usual, though... maybe it depends. |
