Default Cats or Dogs


I know that there are alot of pet lovers on this forum, and I just was wondering....which one is your best friend? Do you appreciate tha aloofness of a cat or tha unrelenting love and affection of a pup?

I've always dug on cats. Just everything about them, tha predator you can see hidden under all that fur. Tha effortless cool they exhibit when you see 'em fuck something up. I just got a kitten for my son a month or so ago and she's gotten fully ingrained into our life. Usually her personality is pretty non existent in tha mornings, I don't remember tripping over her while shaving or her attacking my chest as I try to tie my tie while I get ready for work in weeks. We get home and she demands to know what we plan on making and serving her for dinner. Loudly. Everyone eats and she's happy and sated, purring like a chainsaw and walking all over my wife and I. By bedtime she's laid out on my chest or stomach, nodding off with Mishi and I. Wouldn't happen like that with a dog.

I don't like dogs

Too tough of a choice for me....

I grew up around both. My grandparents owned a white persian that was apart of the family for 10+ years, he was awesome. They also had schnauzers too, and we eventually getting one too....very cool dogs. One of my favorite things to do with Ace is play fetch.....and when he brings the toy back, he'll play tug of war (y'all have seen his mad face, lol)

All cats, and most dogs take to me pretty good...I've got love for both of them, so too hard for me to choose.

...I like both cats and dogs ,as I have both , but I prefer my dog. She's intimidating to look at simply because she's a pitt-bull , but she's nothing more than a big ole lap dog. Iv'e seen her protect the cats from the coyotes that are back in the woods , but run from a little bitty grass snake !

I couldn't vote since I couldn't choose either. I have 3 cats and 3 dogs. My dogs are like a step ladder. They go from a pug to a mixed beagle/coonhound to a mixed Wolf/Siberian Husky. The dogs are loving and more active, where my kitties are seniors now and very loving and laid back. I sometimes wonder if they sneak into my stash (hahaha).

Edit: I love the picture of the Husky at the computer. It is so adorable.

Prefer dogs.... I have two White American bulldogs, a male and female (unrelated), she's fixed so we don't have 5 or 6 more of them running around!

Anyway, she's 2, he's 4. Total opposites in personality. She's hyper, he's calm.... You know.


But I'm also okay with cats.

I couldn't vote either...while I like cats better than dogs, I love dogs too. My balkoth I think was hand made for me by God himself...b/c no other dog can compare...not even Luci. Yes, I have my favorite dog. Now cats...I couldn't even be close to choosing a favorite...as they have all stolen my heart.

I got Luci as a baby maker, not a pet, and she isn't making me any babies yet (damn Balkoth isn't even trying) so, not sure...anyone want a German Shepherd with papers? lol

Definitely a dog person. I've got 1 malamute, 2 mixed breed (fathered by my malamute) and a Beagle Had a few cats through the years as well, but I really like my hounds
All four of them have got great individual personalities, especially Dog (the malamute).
