When do you think that Cannabis will finally be legalized in the United States of America? I personally think it'll be real soon, about 2-4 years should do it, because there's so much public pressure, and the government seems to be loosing the Drug War (hopefully) from my point of view.

I put 2010-2012. Only because I remain optimistic on the issue, in reality though who knows... We could be living with these draconian drug laws for another decade or two.

I think it will all come down to who gets elected as president...I think that if Obama gets elected, this country stands a chance...I really don't know much about politics, but I am sure that if the president backs it, it has a much better chance of coming to pass.
I chose 2010-2012, because if it happens next term, it will most likely happen in the second half.

I doubt we'll ever see cannabis entirely legal in our lifetime!

In the 35+ years I've been smoking...there was only once I thought it might happen, and that was when Jimmy Carter was president.

Unfortunately...the lies that were spread early on by Harry J. Anslinger were taken well to heart by those he preached to about it. It created such a stigma concerning Marijuana, that (and I don't care WHO is leading the country a the time) the US Government will NEVER break through and say it's OK for us to use freely, IMO.

With individual states being able make their own laws concerning medical marijuana, I believe we've made SOME progress...but the Feds will never buy it!

I think it will become legal when the government realizes that if its legal they can tax it

I voted never.. I wish it would be legalized but I can't see it happening. I think we will go on smoking in secrecy..

I think the government has known this for years!

Of course though, if they made it legal, we'd be a country full of doped up zombies! I think THAT'S the mindset of the Feds.

It might be the mindset, but I don't think its the truth...I don't think making it legal would make a lot more people smoke than there already is. It would just make it so that the people who do, wouldn't have to face criminal charges. I have only met one person in my life that doesn't smoke just because it is illegal.
