Also, let me clarify that this hypothetical question is not marijuana related. I don't think I"d even die in gun fire for weed. Because, if the revolution was to fail, that would set back legalization hundreds of years, perhaps

I'd be willing to fight for our freedom in a day like that. Fortunately I probably won't be alive, and the children of the morons who have let it become this way will have to deal with it.

Well....if that is the question. I would choose to get shot dead over waiting on death row, as the song says. But I dunno, it really depends on just how bad the government actually is, and if I'd expect to be subject to a certain level of harsh treatment.

Not gonna happen any time soon. I think the country's about to get its head on straight....hopefully.

Kinda reminds me of Red Dawn, eh? In a situation like that I'd raise all hell.

Hey peace, you should check out the biography of Robert E. Lee. Sounds like something you'd like. It's pretty big though, with like two volumes, but I'm sure there's a compressed form somewhere.

You mean when China decides to screw us over? Yeah i'd love to rebel. Also, (not kidding here) small scale zombie outbreak would be fun. Get out of school for a while, organize a coalition, and carefully dispatch the walking dead.
And if the government decides to draft to put us into Iraq or even Iran, i'd either rebel or move out of the country; nothing against the country, but we shouldn't be there in the first place and I'm not going to play along with Bush's little game.

As long as we preserve our Second Amendment rights, that's not something we need to worry about. The Second Amendment was put in place as the final check against the government going "bad". There are a hundred million firearms in private possession in this country, far more armed citizens than there are soldiers, and I doubt that many US soldiers would be willing to fire on their fellow citizens at government orders.

Buzzby's right on, I think that as long as we have our guns the government won't get too out of control, as the old saying goes "when the government fears the poeple there is freedom, when the people fear the government there is tyranny and oppression".

I think we just need to look at places like Great Britain where basically any private gun ownership is illegal and crime is running rampant. If it came to somthing like that here where the government tried to take my guns away from me then I would definately join in an armed revolt.

I'm not condoning violence mind you it's just that there are times in life when it may be the only option you have.

i think ide die for me and mine, sad as it is thats about all...

ide surely not fight for the government, and nothing against the men fighting at all, they are just doing there jobs, im talking the decision makers... all bad. dying for lies.

other then something happening right here right now my guns remain locked up.

and remember if the government doesnt call it a cause too, its prolly gonna be a terrorist action...lol

also now if the government were to try to take them away ide have to say nope im sorry you cant have them... i do believe that the only people that take away our rights is the fed government.

and look on the easy coast its next to impossible to get a hand gun, and sense the hang guns are out lawed now the criminals will be stealiong and using other kinds of guns, then they will be outlawed too, one at a time.

thats why we dont notice it so much because ittakes soo long but over time we have lost a lot of freedoms...
