I wipe sitting...and I am a folder, not a buncher. I prefer the "harder" 2 ply, because the cottony stuff leaves "pills" down there, and I am sure my boyfriend wont appreciate more fiber in his diet in that particular situation.

I bunch up the toilet paper just out of habit...

oddly enough, I wipe when I pee sometimes... those drops are sneaky.

First off, i always wipe standing up. never sitting down i have a constant fear of going down to wipe ( while sitting ) and in the process, rubbing your hand against your own shit...you also have better reach while standing, more access. as far a TP, i don't have a preference, all of it gets the job done.

I like Charmin as its real soft and feels good on my bung hole.
I tend to wipe in a circular motion (clock wise in the northern hemisphere), gathering all the debris and fecal matter as I rotate the TP in a circular manner.

i just take the toilet paper off the rod it rests on, then slide my ass up and down on the rod, then put the paper back

I tried standing today, and it just didn't feel right...the cheeks were pressed together more, making it slightly more troublesome, and I got some poo on my hand...my theory is that all of you standers are "lookers" you have to see what you've produced before you flush it down.

Sitting down, man. How would you even get in there properly without the spread you have sitting down?

For toilet paper, I use soft sstuff, and I think it's three ply. I usually just get a long piece of it, like 12-16 sheets or something, then fold once and wipe with the end of that, drop that end in, then fold the remainder and finish with that. If I'm not sure it's all gone, I'll check the second part before dropping it in, and get more if necessary.

We need more threads like this. If no one talks about how they wipe, how are we supposed to determine optimal wiping method?
