i'm in a long distance relationship right now, my boyfriend and i see each other friday-monday, but sometimes neither of us has enough gas to get to each other, so we do spend weekends apart every couple weeks or so. i could definitely cheat on him and never get caught, but i never would. when i'm in a relationship i'm faithful. the only person i want to be with is my partner, and the thought of being with another man or woman literally turns my stomach. if i wanted to sleep around i'd still be single... and the low frequency of sex doesn't matter either. that's not what relationships are all about.

I can't help but my love my extremely hot girlfriend for almost 2yrs but the truth is I would cheat on her for only one reason; sex. If she wasn't satisfying my sexual needs, i.e. sex once every 3 weeks vs sex 3x a week, I would cheat on her, but the other girl would mean nothing to me.

I know it might sound like I'm an asshole but all I'm saying if my girl was giving me sex only once a month, i would want to cheat on her just to relieve my sexual tension but I'd still love her. Some people's limit might be longer but mine is a month.

PS: Jerking off is not enough for me and trust me I've tried.

I can relate with this to a certain extent. I've been dating my girl for 4 years and have went through moments where we didn't have sex for a long time. These are the times that cheating might cross my mind. It's not that I will act on these urges, it's just hormones are such a bitch sometimes.

I do love her and always will. I only cheated on her one time and could've gotten away with it. I decided to tell her because I have an extremely guilty conscious. Believe me, it was not fun telling her and things were weird for a little while. But, I'm glad I did confess. Honesty is key in a long-term relationship.

So I guess my answer to the question is no I wouldn't cheat if I can get away with it (even though sometimes it does cross my mind). A few years ago I may have gave a different answer....

I've cheated.
In all honesty the one that I cheated WITH is the only person I know that I wouldn't cheat on. We have a long history, I just could never do that to her while we were dating and I really, really believe that she couldn't do it to me either. We've known each other for too long that I couldn't live with that on my conscience.
