Simple poll really...

I do. Force of habit. I never trust anyone enough.

I don't. But only because I don't have a scale. If I did, I would probably be doing a little "comparative shopping"...

Actually, the last ounce I got looked light to me, so she asked if I wanted to throw it on the scales, I said yes. Bingo, 5 grams short, but I got my 5 grams. I may start taking my scales again, but I hadn't been for a while.

I guess you could call that a strange ability that I have. I can look at a sack and know what it weighs, or if it's off.

If I bought in bulk (half oz.-oz.) I would probably buy scales. As it is, I only buy in dubs, which vary slightly in size according to the kind of weed, supply/demand, etc...

5 out of 28 is a big difference!

That's 17%, I hope you'd be able to tell when something is 17% off!

Scales are cheap and help to avoid any misunderstandings. I would never think of buying weed without weighing it. If the dealer was to object, I'd take my business elsewhere. If he has nothing to hide, why would he object?

I'm really happy with the modern electronics scales that you can fit in a pocket. I used to haul around a triple-beam balance in a custom-fitted tool box. The triple-beam, which will weigh 1,300 grams to a tenth of a gram, now holds a place of honor in my museum of antiquated technology, along with my 1987 Mac SE and my eight-track tape player.

It was just the other day that I was talking to my Parts guy and he was saying how he was looking to get his hands on one of them for a project he's doing... you have any idea how hard it is to find one of them in working order these days?

Yes, this time it was quite obvious, but I can tell down to the gram if it's right or not.

I've been buying from the same person for a while now, and none of my sacks ever looked shy. I'll bring them home and weigh them, and they are spot on. Regardless, I'm going to bring my scales to verify, at least the next few times I buy.

Cool

The price will vary. That's all that should be off. I have seen herb for 60 a quarter and some for 20. That's a given. But, it better weigh. I bring my scales or they weigh it in front of me. I don't trust anyone. It's too easy to cut a gram off of a sack leaving you wondering where your sack went.....

I agree with Vic, though. I can roll it around in my hand and tell if it's off. The guy I deal with when neccesary always gives a little extra, and it's always bud...........

Yes, always when I do have scales handy I weight it. Or if I don't I try and figure out how much I have smoked out of it when I weight it and if it is close to what I suspect I'm happy.
