im not going to say you shouldnt smoke because i started in 8th grade and a lot of my friends that smoke started in 6th grade.

for the most part, you have to know older people. dont you know anybody that is at least a freshman right now in high school?

also, i guarantee there are people in your grade that already smoke weed. they arent too hard to point out. start talking to them. if you just ask your non-smoking friends, they wont be able to help you unless they have a sibling that would get it for them.

I didn't think so. Instead of doing what Bernie420 did, others have taken the time to help this young man understand what he is in for and advise him in a civil way, to wait until he is old enough to handle the consequences of his actions and the dangers of obtaining an illegal substance at his age.

You avoided my direct question to you and emboldened the part you addressed, it is still a moot point.

What you aren't aware of is that members that revealed one way or another (when minors were not allowed) that they lied about being of legal age, which is 18 in most states, when they registered were banned. But they weren't banned until they turned 18, they were banned for life.

The admins/mods here should not and were not expected to keep notes on how old a member really was when we find out they lied about their age and then wait for them to turn 18 to reactivate their account (assuming such a practice could be counted on as foolproof to begin with).

Maybe, when you return you'll consider what it is to be a member on a board as large as this one. Personally, with your quick-to-judge attitude I have reason to doubt you will any time soon, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong...

As far as the stand up members of this community go, I don't think I'd still participate here if it weren't for them.

It's a touchy subject 'round here.... Always has been...

Bernie fails to realize a few things, so I'll attempt to enlighten him, and anyone else who decides to get on their high horse about the subject...

The ideology of this site and these forums is about open, honest discussion about marijuana. Fact is, kids smoke pot. When I toked up for the first time, I was younger than the OP of this thread. (Holy shit! I just realized that was nearly thirty years ago!)

The real tragedy is that parents, who should be having honest open discussions about drugs with their kids are not doing so. They come to a site like this to get an education.
And they get someone like Bernie who chooses to merely berade someone. Way to foster the community, Bern!

I will gladly discuss marijuana with anyone that I feel is mature enough to have a discussion, regardless of age. My own daughter is getting to the age where we need to discuss it, if for no other reason to dispel some of the bullshit her mom has filled her brain with...
I will not smoke with a minor. Period. End of paragraph, chapter and story.
If have any question about someone's age, I won't smoke with them. I've left sessions when I've merely suspected a minor is present.

How did I get pot when I was in middle school? I pinched off my mom, who openly toked around me (right or wrong). My methodology probably isn't going to help the OP much, but that's OK. I never intended to help a minor be better able to find a source for something I don't believe they should use.

Maybe Bernie can tell the rest of us how old he was when he first toked up, if/when he returns....

I agree Darque. Kids these days will smoke marijuana. In a CNN poll on kids in school who have smoked marijuana. Over half has tried it before graduation. I remember it vaguely, but none the less, it is still more than I originally thought. The truth is, marijuana is not harmful, the only thing harmful is kids getting caught with it. The DEA, can never, and will never win this war. It will always be easily available for all kids to try it if they have the urge too. I don't recommend any kids to buy weed, just because of the penalties, such as loss of college grants etc. We all can ramble on about this, but they will never listen. It's the truth that we all can't ignore.

finally found some. just kind of mentioned it when the time was right. like when people talk about Obama i say something like "i heard he used to smoke weed." and then i judged peoples reaction to see if i should go on. eventually a friend from elementary school waited for me after class and hooked me up. thanks you for all the help. never knew you got THAT thirsty when high.

i had no idea how THIRSTY you get. i heard your mouth gets dry but i drank at least a liter of water and ate a whole box of cereal. (honey bunches of oats) i thought i would only want to sip on something lol, but yea, i just mentioned it and kept patient. eventually it just came to me. i heard a kid talk about it and asked him if he could hook me up. now i know two people to get it from. my main advice would be stay patient and don't tell anyone u don't really trust. f u tell 1 person the next day the whole school will know. learned that the hard way.
