Considering the fact that I use IE, I don't.

You should try it sometimes. Pretty interesting what's different.

I choose FireFox merely because the functionality is great; IE just feels slow, sluggish and "blocky." I'll also jump on the bandwagon and say that FireFox is much more secure than IE

I use Firefox at work ONLY...to surf here and other sites of interest. I like being able to just close it out and erase all my history with one click.

Home it's just IE, 'cause I was having issues with Firefox at home. Videos would start...and then a coupla seconds later they'd just stop, until I'd restart Firefox! IE does what I need at home.

I DO notice sometimes it seems to be a little sluggish at startup on occasion...however I DO have a lot of tabs.

I used IE for years, then Netscape, then Opera and now, for years, Firefox.
I mess around with the others every so often but always find myself coming back.

FF is more secure than IE for a number of reasons but most importantly because IE is still king of the hill and therefore remains the target of choice for all the misanthropes out there who try to screw it (and us) up.
It's clean and fast and has a huge number of 'add-ons' available many of which are indispensable imo.

And I will support 'open source' architecture any chance I get...

Do you remember the days when you can view 'private' my space pages in FF? That was great.

Well, my IE just stopped working one day (I'd get a lot of errors.. "we're sorry, Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" which would infuriate me).. so half the time I'd get that error message, the other half of the time it wouldn't work.
I installed Firefox and it works so well I have never gone back. Everything is better about it.. I find it faster, less crap, customizable, built-in pop up blocker, etc.
The reason I had originally wanted to go with IE over Firefox was for tabbed browsing.. but FF has tabbed browsing too.
