| So I currently have a treo700w on Verizon's network. I believe it cost me a couple hundred bucks with plan. I paid a few hundred bucks years ago to get away from ATT and get on Verizon. Over these years, I have come to the realization that all teleco's are douches... some just wear makeup. My contract expired in March, and I have been trying to figure out what to do ever sense. The problem was mainly that all of Verizon's phones are completely unappealing to me... and the ones I might like are crippled by verizon. So while I was trying to figure it all out... the iphone 3g comes out. If I was still in a contract, and still had a completely functional phone, I would probably think I was being fairly careless with my money to even think about getting an iphone 3g... but it seems like a good phone that will cost the same, or less, than another palm... combine that with the software, it may be a nice tool. I'm a bit worried that the might come out with another iphone by the end of the year (heard rumors lol). But still... I think I may get one. I don't think the monthly cost will be a problem either (looks like it'll be around $92 after taxes/fees). It seems comprable to equal plans on other carriers. So with all of that said (sorry for the vent/ramble)... 8 gig or 16 gig? What are your thoughts, guys-n-gals? edit: For those of you wondering why I don't just get a normal phone... Smartphones (like my treo) keep me from killing myself via disorganization. It may be a digital crutch, but it helps me keep streamlined in my job/life to be able to sync my computer with something in my pocket. |
