So, did anyone else besides me pick it up today? I have to say, I never got into these games until I tried the third one, but they're pretty addicting. I really liked the Tool section they have in the game, definitely a wild looking background for that entire gig.

Sadly... I don't have the funds to get it yet. But, if you don't mind, I would like some feedback on it. How do you like the drum set? That is, if you bought the entire kit. Also, is the create-a-song feature as involved as all the vids I've seen make it look like? That is something I am extremely interested in.

I tried the drum kit in-store, and I have every intention to purchase the entire new "band kit" within the next few weeks. I like how they made the older guitars forward-compatible (I have the Les Paul, still), but I'm still interested to see how the slider featuure works, and the new touch pads they introduced on the newer guitars.

To be honest, I haven't had the chance to play around with the create a song feature, but I'll check it out today and come back here and let you know.

The game as a whole is definitely major improvement from previous versions, I haven't noticed any lagging during songs, and it's a big plus that they're using all mastered tracks for the game. I did notice that they have a larger selection of classic rock tracks, which is good if you're a fan of the music, but not so much if you don't like the slower songs.

Ha I wish I had the money to buy it I had to sell my xbox, but yeah guitar hero is addicting.

Yeah... the new guitars look bad ass and I love the buttons compared to Rock Band's guitars.

This is all good news. I'm glad they made the experience more seamless and having all the songs as master tracks really helps the authenticity of the game. I'm not a big fan of the slow songs. They seem too easy to me. From what you have told me though... I will definitely be buying this game when possible. =D

I really want to get it, but I want to be able to make full use of the game mechanics and the newest console I have is a PS2, unfortunately, which won't let me share any songs I make or get new ones. I plan on getting it whenever I get a next-gen console. I thinking of asking for 360 for Christmas...sounds more realistic compared to last year.

Picked it up.....can't play it....for some reason every PS2 I stick the cd in it comes back as a disc read error...anyone else have this problem....guess I'll have to return it later this week for another copy.....bummin
