Back on topic...

There should be a way to forward your incoming hotmail messages to a Gmail account. Try looking somewhere in the options/settings area for IMAP/POP/Forwarding, it's free on Gmail and pay on Yahoo so I'm not sure which Hotmail would be, but it may require a 'premium' account.

I used to do tech support for msn.

at the time (some years ago) there most certainly was no msn-supported way to forward mail. I doubt they will have changed that policy. MSN is designed to make it so you have to use other MSN products. When I left, about 1 in a million hotmail accounts supported pop3, and that was considered to be a glitch.

...no. not really.

hehe. There is a link somewhere on the hotmail page to change back, but for some reason I can't find it now.... weirdness. Anyway if you want to forward your mail just click "Options" on the top right while in your inbox. Click "More options" and then click the third option down: "Forward mail to another e-mail account." There you go..... bish.

EDIT: Did some more reading.... turns out you can only forward to other msn type accounts. .live and .hotmail among others. I know of a way to grab your mail and forward it without going through MSN, but I haven't done it in a while so I'll have to look it up and figure it out again. I'm tired so I'll post tomorrow with instructions. Peace. =]
