That hasn't been my experience at all. I've had several Dell desktop and laptop pc's, and they were all great computers, very reliable, and durable. I just got a refurbished Dell laptop, and gave my old Dell desktop to my daughter. She now uses it on a daily basis, and it's going on 8 years old. My husband's Dell is also going on 8 years old.

Same here, I've owned more than 5 dells... laptops and PC's. Company treats me very well if I have a problem, and I never have had any hardware or software malfunction yet.

I really think technology now adays is amazing. Can't wait for 20 years, imagine what they will have then!

bleh, i'm tired of people talking about how reliable their HP, Dell, Gateway or w/e is.

the components are all made by the same companies: asus, samsung, seagate, nvidia, intel, amd, gigabyte, patriot, ocz, rosewill etc.

people get pcs that are unreliable because of defective parts. it's not dell, hp etc.'s fault.
nor is it to their credit that your pc is reliable.

I was merely addressing Murk's comment that Dell's were not reliable. I did not say one brand was more reliable than the other. I merely pointed out that we have had many Dell pc's that have had no problems, and were relaible for many years.
