|  labtop issue need some advice. Hey I own a pavilion dv9000 specs are AMD Turion 64x2 NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 discrete graphics with 256MB dedicated DDR2 VRAM 1GB of RAM Windows Vista My issue is that before i reinstalled Vista Home premium My Physical Memory was running less than 20%. After I reinstalled Vista Home Premium and installed the updates I now run at 55% Physical Memory. Everything before I reinstalled vista was put in a file called Windows.Old. I don't run anything at all so my questions are how do I decrease my physical memory? Is Vista a memory whore? Do I need to buy more RAM? or should I just get windows 7? or switch back to XP? |

| yep, your computer cannot handle more than one gb per slot. i checked crucial.com. if i were you, i would either upgrade to xp or try windows 7. haha get it, i said 'upgarde to xp'

| 7 is still vista core, I am not certain but it may require same amount of memory, it just utilizes virtualization more. I think vista runs best on 2 - 4 gigs...but I don't even like vista...upgrade for now n wait till 7 drops to see more reviews
