| New Member | So I'm assuming that you dont know the admin password. If this doesn't work I would reinstall windows and create an acount for yourself. Goto Start Settings Control Panel User Acounts and then create a new acount if you still cant log off then log on as the newly created user then you would be best off to reinstall windows |

| I have never heard of XP signing you onto an admin account automatically. Do you only have one account on your computer (or none) set up? So the admin account is password protected, or the things you want to do in the admin account are password protected. How do you know that the account is admin. By all logic, if you have 0 privileges when you log onto it, it must be not an admin. When you do what teetdogs said, do you see only one account on the bottom? I didn't even think that XP had an "Administrator" account. Are you reefering to Owner? |

| Theres 2 accounts set up. One is the account that signs me on automatcally has been blocked of everything. I cant do anytrhing in that. The Administrator is what i need to get to, to change the settings for the other account. This XP version is Pro. so it does have that mode. it basically polices the other accounts. Its so heavly protected i cant even get into the control panel | |
