| I am thinking about buying a Digital camera. Could people give me suggestions of models that would be worth looking into? |

| Nikons are good, I have an older model (CoolPix 775) and it still works great.

| *cracks knuckles* Cell phone cams barely break the 1 MP mark. I could find better real-life pictures in artwork. [/sarcasm] There are two brands I highly recommend: Olympus and Kodak. Both of them are long-time camera producers and they know what they're doing. I can't recommend Sony, HP, or Canon because I know they have some motion and and photo lighting problems. Olympus strengths are that they're compact and you really get quality for what you buy, but you do pay for what you buy. Entry-level Olympus cameras took some of the sharpest photos I've ever seen and their multifunctions (C and D models, I think) handle very well. Kodak has the lowest digital camera prices on the market, hands-down, and you pay $100 less for Kodak than you would with the same technology by any other company. I myself own a CX4310 which is a 3.2 MP point-and-shoot that works nicely for what I use it for, and cost $250. My parents own a DX6440 which is a 5 MP multifunction that takes some incredible photos, and costs $350. |
