Is it a bad idea buy monitors by getting it shipped?

Let's say I want to buy a 22" monitor but no stores around my area has it so I want to order it from a site from somewhere. Will the shipping be a lot? Monitors are heavy.

Depends of course on who you are getting it from. You could request to get insurance on the shipment that way if it get's jacked up then it will be covered.

I know I got a 21" monitor from Dell and it was cool. I just got a 19" monitor from HP and it was perfect.

Just depends, I'd call them and ask what they will ship the monitor in as well.

ive gotten 2 monitors in the mail and the way they package them, they are very safe.
as far as cost..well..its usually not more than buying any other electronic aquiptment.

do get the insurance though!

Shipping for technology is pretty reliable. I've ordered three computers via ground mail (one with a monitor) and they all work fine. I imagine a 22" monitor shipping charge is around $30 USD, but I'm not completely sure.
