All so- famous Kazza is LOL – I wasn’t going to start a thread only to ask another dumb question but I was browsing the board and had came upon (3 post in a row! that mention the danger in using this all so famous- Kazza! Lol( I always stumble upon many threads in the past that relate to Kazza but they fail to mention what Kazza is, only that it’s dangerous. dose anyone knows what this... program is used for, all 3-post fail to mention what…. Kazza is and I cannot take the suspense of wondering what this all so famous Kazza is used for anymore I been wondering for months now lol

It is the (by far) most popular file sharing software out there. It has ad-ware and spyware inside, and it is said that 1 of every 10 files on its network are viruses. Its website is kazaa dot com. (Not sure if I can link to it here...)

That is what I here….
If one in every 10 files contains a virus, why is the program so popular…?
Now, I could see if it were more like one of every 300 files had some sort of virus, that would be different, but one of every 10, no way that is ridiculous. I would rather go without a file then catch a PC virus

Yo man, here's the deal.

KaZaA not Kazza is the name of the original program. It contained spyware and a lot of bull**** advertisements. Soon after Kazaa Lite is released. No spyware. Had every good thing about Kazaa without all the bad.

But all the downloads from websites have been taken down now. K-lite now charges and probably some other crappy stuff I don't know about. Anyways, people with old kazaa lite are still using it, works great . Best bet is check mIRC if you use that. packetnewsdotcom.

I'll take a look and see how big it is. I might be able to email it to you.

kazaa lite works just great, only for new songs it really sucks because there are these fake songs that the RIAA or someone puts out on kazaa. i recommend using soulseek, nowhere near as good as kazaa once was but its still good. oh and if you want the old kazaa lite i've got it too

Do a search on 'ares galaxy' never found a fake song to date.

i just wanted to post and say that i got ares galaxy and it is SUCH a good replacement for kazaa, you search an artist and like instantly there are at least 100 results right away, and lots of files with multiple sources! soulseek is still the best one for downloading full albums though
