| I don't know about you guys, but I talk about weed all the time over AIM with my friends. I had never realized until somebody mentioned to me recently that AIM has no security what-so-ever. Conversations are sent in plain text through packets. Basically anybody on your network (including your ISP) could easily read your convos word for word at any time. How likely is it that people are checking your packets? Extremely unlikely. But it is better to be safe than sorry. It is very easy to install encryption certificates and be 100% certain that nobody will ever read your convos except you and the person you're talking to. Plus it's free. AIMEncrypt.com No I don't work for them or anything, I just found the website myself and decided people on here might be interested. |
