| This computers is going to crash I have Norton anti virus as well ass Pest Patrol to detect spy ware so, unless Pest Patrol or Norton failed to detect a virus or pest, it could then possibly be a virus.(all though I seriously doubt it) Up date: The CPU usage is up to 100%! I aware all fancy firewalls as well as other expensive security programs are worthless. Went to msconfig and disabled most programs and some are still invisibly running in the back round. Pressing ctr alt delete now shows 26 programs running; I do not know which ones to stop from running. Dells supports reprehensive seldom speak English and are often hard to understand. I called them when I got home, went through a bunch of bull s procedures, I am telling the moron that I am pressing the ctr f2 button and nothing happens. This moron fails to understand the problem so they said they would call me back in 10 minutes – 2 days latter still no call. I would call again but do not feel like waiting on the phone for 2 hours only to have some moron who speaks broken English to finely answer and say you have the wrong department- call this number, and then continue the he said she said process for another hour. Communicating with Dells technical support reprehensive are like communicating through smoke singles, only that smoke singles is faster. Anyone that lives in the United States and that do not speak English should go back to where they came from ![]() |

| First off your firewall has nothing to do with any of this, second pest patrol sucks, third norton sucks. What site are you talking about? And post the hijack this log. Quote:

| everything on your log file looks fine. If you want information on a certain process you can usually google search it and find all the information you need. |

| I did a system restore as well as delete the two-java programs that were running in the background. So far, the computer is running smooth. I searched Microsoft’s database for what to and not to delete. Thanks for the link to hijack this.) I didn’t not want to delete the java key unless I was absolutely sure what the program was used for,- I believe that the reason why the computer was running slow was because those two simple java downloads turned out to be using large amounts of disk space that were running during system start up. You would think that the fancy firewall that I paid booko bucks for would specialize in detecting porn downloads that are infested with java script-heh My subscription for Norton anti virus is almost finished. Is there a better anti virus program (preferably free) to protect against viruses? Again thanks for the info and link. If it went for the link, I would have never found those two java programs that were running in the back round and using all the dick space. |
