How do I turn the bass or low end up on my comp...i want more bass...MORE BASS...oh yea i have one of those stupid macs...the new ones..emac...someone help meeee

Well, whatever your audio program is you will want to look for its equalizer settings and mess with the bass if you want it higher. If you use Winamp its really easy to do, look for the EQ button. The other thing you can do is buy speakers with a subwoofer and use that to get more bass. My little subwoofer and speaker set up cost me 45 bucks and if i were to turn it all the way up i could rattle all the pictures in the house.

yeah you arent going to be getting much more bass, at least clean sounding good bass unless youve got a subwoofer. Go to any store and you can find cheap sub setups for computers..My 4.1 speakers cost like $45 and they get pretty good bass, especially for a 4" sub!

Nothing wrong with Macs, they're generally better built than pcs, better parts, stronger circuit boards, etc. I have a pc with winamp and some good 5.5" homebuilt speakers, no sub though, would've cost too much to bring it to college with me . My speakers are good enough that I can still crank the bass sliders to make up for no sub and they can handle it, even though they're only 5.5 inches. This is partly because there aren't any ports (air vents or bass ports). These add "fake" bass up to a certain volume, after which all things go to hell and you get massive distortion. Also my speakers are VERY heavy for their size, probably 10lbs each. They have two parts, the main driver and a tweeter, the tweeter gives a lot of clarity when the main driver is being overun with heavy bass and would otherwise be producing a very muddy sound.
iTunes has a good quality equalizer, it's on the bottom right corner I think. 'If your speakers are big enough go ahead and crank up the 60hz or even lower sliders, otherwise focus more on the 100hz range. They're all bass, but the 60hz and lower is 'real' bass meaning regular guitars don't go that low, so boosting that range will ONLY boost the drums, bass guitar, and effects. If your speakers can't handle it the sound will become muddy, that's when you need a subwoofer.
If you need a sub, there are a couple ways to add one. If your computer has 5.1 analog outputs (not the optical one plug carries all the signals one, several seperate jacks), you could maybe buy a seperate sub that hooks into a regular jack, and tell your computer to work in 5.1 channels (except minus the surrounds). Otherwise, get a sub and a splitter cable to the sub can "suck off" the music signal. Then you'd control the bass with the sub's volume knob rather than the sliders on the computer.
Oh forgot something. Bass tends to contentrate along walls and corners, so putting your speakers in one of these locations will help the bass spread out a little more.

the onboard sound on emac's wont support a subwoofer, and you wont get anything better than an EQ

Try looking on your control pannels. Your computer speakers might be limited though. I think your best bet would be buying a cheap sub for your computer.

Buy A pair of sennheiser headphones, I can personally vouch for the HD 280, $100 Frequency response 8.....25000 Hz. I heard things in pink floyd and other music I had never noticed.
