Just wondering what programs people are using that still work good for downloading music. I had been using WinMX and after not using it for awhile I opened it recently and it doesn't seem to be working as well. Any suggestions for other programs besides WinMX?

i've never heard of bittorrent before this thread so i went to check it out at pirate bay, which was one of the selected links. i downloaded Azureus and downloaded some torrents but i've run into some problems. i was wondering if anyone here can answer a few questions?

i've downloaded some files and then when i open some of the torrents Azureus resaves the file as a .rar file and other times it just opens the torrent i downloaded. downloading has been very spotty.

the biggest problem i've had is that my modem is supposed to be incompatable unless i assign specific ports. they don't tell me what ports though to assign and where i can do this in the program. they ask you to change the port to something other than 6881-6999 but can i just pick any number higher than 6999? what's a good port. does anyone know how to set up azureus for a lynksys wrt54g wireless router with uPnP problems? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
