|  probly a stupid quetion but i got to know i got win xp and i went to msconfig so i can disable all that stuff that is on when ya start the pc and there is one that says dcom server process launcer and it says if i disable it windows may not work. what is this file?

| Just be sure to stick with the startup items and you should be fine. There's little in there that has the potential to permantly harm your system.

| The other reasonably safe place to remove items are from two specific registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\run and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\run |
