I use Ad-Aware. It's free and it's good. It was recommended by some techie on the news a couple of years ago, and I've been using it ever since.

You'll be amazed at all the shit on your computer the first time you use it!

No one anti-spyware product is effective.
I recommend two: Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Both are free for personal use.

Make certain they are fully up-to-date before runing your scan.

been running ad aware for a long time, it works really well. When I switched to firefox I set it to clear private data everytime I close the program, which kills most of the stuff right away.

Hitman Pro 2. There is a software list stickied in tha tech forum, made by tha one and only Kontroversey himself, with a link to a free download. Check it out.

ive had spybot for years never tried ad-aware thogh. i'll give it a try
