| OR, if you see them online but their "mobile" icon is showing, send them an IM like you normally would and it'll go straight to their phone (or so I'm told). |

| I have aol AIM messenger on the computer and people could use the mobile option. If your cell phone has AIM on it, you can sign on under your screen name on the cell when your not on the computer, but for the people that are on the computer, they will see you online with a phone icon next to your name. If one of your friends clicks on your name to send you a message, it's almost like getting a message on your comp, but your recieving on the cell phone. I don't do this too much because it's a pain in the ass to write on a cell phone, takes longer. I don't know if you need to stay signed in at home on the computer in order to sign on AIM from your cell. If you have an away message up on the computer, that goes away and goes into mobile use when you sign in on your cell phone and people could send you messages. |
